About Us

We admit it. We're perps to the plea mea culpa, we've changed. In the past seven years, since the founding of Global to Local Coffee, like so much in this world we've gone through a lot of shall we say, "evolution" to put it mildly, (a lot!)

And by the way, evolution is hardly the placid sounding, uni-linear progression it might seem, at least in our experience. More like on half step maybe sorta forward and who knows after that how many steps back, sideways and just about anywhere. Maybe closer to rock n' roll. Just ask that guy Scopes who ended up in trial over it.

Elsewhere on this site there is and will be more of this history, but for openers on this page, we've always been about Social Purpose but we've come to be very much about successful business -- and about Coffee.

As of now, we're into the excitement of coffee. Excitement, both caffeine stimulated and just plain "organic" -- pun intended is a lot of what coffee is about in its mega-multiple dimensions. (still including social purpose which is a large part of the excitement.)

But a key dimension  of what we're about as part of this wild ride of coffee in the new milennium for us is expressed in the motto, "In coffee excellence we trust," intended to paraphrase the national motto engraved on our currency, "In God We Trust."
